The development of the AMCU was driven by the need for a more versatile and effective camouflage suited to the varied environments encountered by Australian forces, both domestically and in international deployments.
The design of the AMCU integrates elements of the Multicam pattern, known for its adaptability across different terrains and seasons, and incorporates specific adjustments to better suit the Australian landscape.
These ADF-issue combat pants incorporate lots of useful features. They come with a velcro-adjustable waist, two cargo pockets, two waist pockets, kneepad inserts and drawstring cuffs. They have a button-closure waist and zip-up fly. Unissued, never worn condition.
